At McCane Creations LLC, we stand behind The Forge and the quality of our output. This policy explains when refunds are available and how to request one.
Our commitment: If The Forge fails to deliver a working, machine-ready file due to a platform error, we will make it right — either with a replacement file, a credit, or a refund. We are a small team and we take every issue seriously.
1. Subscriptions
Monthly subscriptions are non-refundable once the billing period has started. You may cancel at any time and your access continues until the end of the paid period.
If you believe you were charged in error, contact us within 7 days of the charge and we will investigate promptly.
Important — Founder Pricing: Cancelling your subscription permanently forfeits your Founder pricing. This cannot be reversed. Please review the pricing terms before cancelling.
2. One-Time Purchases & File Bundles
One-time purchases and file bundles are non-refundable once a file has been downloaded. Bundles never expire — unused credits remain available in your account indefinitely.
If you purchased a bundle and have not used any credits, contact us within 48 hours and we will review your request.
3. Upload Conversions ($2 / $6.99)
One-time upload conversions are eligible for a refund or re-processing if:
- The converted file is unusable due to a platform processing error
- The engine produced output that does not match the selected format
- The file failed to download after payment was processed
Refunds are not available if the source artwork you uploaded was too low resolution, too complex, or otherwise unsuitable for conversion. We recommend reviewing our upload guidelines before purchasing.
4. When We Will Always Refund or Replace
Regardless of plan or purchase type, we will refund or replace without question if:
- You were charged but received no file due to a system error
- The platform generated a file that is corrupted or unreadable
- You were double-charged due to a billing error
- A platform outage prevented you from accessing a paid service
5. What We Cannot Refund
- Files that were successfully delivered and downloaded
- Credits used on designs you changed your mind about
- Subscriptions where the plan was used as intended
- Founder pricing after voluntary cancellation
- Issues caused by incompatibility with your specific machine software (beyond our stated compatibility list)
6. How to Request a Refund
Contact us through the Help page with:
- Your account email
- The date of the charge
- A description of the issue
- If applicable, a screenshot or description of the file problem
We respond to all refund requests within 2 business days. A real person reads every message.
