Where It Started

The Forge was born from a simple frustration: makers had machines, but no easy way to turn their ideas into machine-ready files. Laser cutters, vinyl cutters, embroidery machines, 3D printers — each one speaks a different language. And most people don't have the technical knowledge to translate between them.


Flor McCane — founder, designer, and the driving force behind McCane Creations — set out to change that. With a background in Business Management, Graphic Design, and Education, she understood both the creative side and the maker's need. The Forge is the result: a platform that takes your idea and turns it into a real, machine-ready file — automatically.

Flor McCane

Originally from Peru, Flor brings three degrees — Business Management, English Education, and Computer Graphic Design — to everything she builds. She built The Forge without a traditional engineering background, driven entirely by vision, persistence, and a deep understanding of what makers actually need. Her bilingual advantage in English and Spanish positions The Forge uniquely for the US Hispanic and Latin American maker markets.

Mike brings real-world business experience and a maker's eye to McCane Creations. His instinct for what customers actually want — combined with his hands-on testing of every product — keeps The Forge grounded in reality.
